A couple of days ago I was standing in the kitchen, staring aimlessly at the inside of the cupboard. I wasn't really looking for anything to eat rather, I find when I'm talking to G-d if I'm doing something it helps me focus on Him, then sitting quietly.
"Abba, I need you" It's so very true!! Yes we need G-d in our day to day lives, but in this particular instance I found myself feeling helpless and frustrated, so this came out in a moan rather then an actual request.
"I need your favor in my life, on my circumstances."
"You already have it" Now to say that I wasn't surprised in this moment would be out right lying. How?! How can a sinner like me, who can't seem to get it together long enough for something go right have Your Favor?!
"You have no understanding on how I grant this, I don't give favor and the moment you fall I take it back, where is the mercy in that?"
"Remember my word does not return void, How can I issue favor and take it back w/o going against this very scripture?"
I took a deep breath, I had to admit, somewhere in my heart I figured, Favor was one of those things you get from G-d and keep by doing works. I admit this definitely took the pressure off.
So here's my next step, the next part of my journey in understanding G-Ds ways, How do I confidently walk in this favor and allow it to move in my life and on my circumstances?
